It’s December, nearing year end and I need to stop the nostalgic digging through past classics. This year, Courtney Melba Barnett’s ‘Pedestrian at Best’ may be one of the punchiest slices of four-chord garage rock for some time. However, I plump for the witty ‘Depreston’. I have no knowledge of the Melbourne real estate market, but the commentary rings true in some other places I could mention. Both tracks are off her album Sometimes I Sit And Think, And Sometimes I Just Sit.
