Wale – The Artistic Integrity (2008)

YouTube – No Amazon – iTunes – Discogs

Before this year’s Album About Nothing, Olubowale Victor Akintimehin had already played around with Seinfeld sketches as a framework for his quick-witted punchlines. Wale had been prolific with his underground mixtapes in the late noughties – and never better than on 2008’s The Mixtape About Nothing. It featured ‘The Artistic Integrity’ which not only features Jerry and George, but also the clever use of the Philip Bailey/Phil Collins sample from ‘Easy Lover’. Have a great week.
