Modest Mouse again

Four years before the David Byrne-like sounds of ‘Float On’ previously featured on this blog, Modest Mouse’s third album The Moon & Antarctica finds them more subdued. However, the second track off the album, ‘Gravity Rides Everything’, combines elastic guitars, an acoustic strum and lead singer Isaac Brock’s relatively hopeful quest for truth. “What’s that riding on your everything?” “It isn’t anything at all.” Have a good week.
