Frontier Ruckus – Dark Autumn Hour (2007)

Frontier Ruckus

Sticking with the americana and moving the feelgood dial one very small notch; ‘Dark Autumn Hour’ is, at the very least, more uplifting. Despite the sound of the soulful south, Frontier Ruckus are from Detroit. Matthew Milia’s haunting voice, David Winston Jones’ banjo and the wilderness dude with the melodica and barnyard saw – together they make music. This understated fiesta is off the band’s debut long player The Orion Songbook.
