For singing the desolate, Will Odham and Mark Kozelek have competition in one Bill Callahan. In 2005, he released the album A River Ain’t Too Much To Love under a previous guise – Smog. The album featured the classic ‘Rock Bottom Riser’ with its unhurried guitar treatment, dark lyrics and detached vocals. I think the poor weather is getting to me.
