Radiohead – Wolf At The Door (2003)

Hail To The Thief was Radiohead’s longest player and one of its best. If they had chopped out a handful of the 14 tracks, it would have been right up there. The quality of ‘2+2=5’, ‘Where I End And You Begin’ and the brilliant ‘There There’ are overlooked here in favour of the closing masterpiece. ‘A Wolf at the Door’ opens with a slow, hypnotising rhythm. There’s evil out there. Yorke delivers his falsetto. As the storms close in, it all makes for another dark end to the week.
