The sound of garage rock in French. Apparently Jacques Dutronc did have a son – the jazz guitarist Thomas Dutronc. He makes for one hell of a song. This track is off the Berlin-based Shrines’ deeply revivalist album What Is?!. I like to put it on when Boris biking. Cycle couriers take note – it’s what gives me my edge.
Punchy and to the point…not often associated with French songs but these lot are apparently from berlin so fair enough.
