For me, the Cure’s second album Seventeen Seconds was completely overshadowed by its 7th track – this dark masterpiece. ‘A Forest’ was new wave, but it spawned its own gothic genre. Just as electronic as Cerrone, but a little more seasonal: those eerie keyboards; that guitar line; and the haunting lyrics…“Again and again and again and again”. Have a good weekend.
